Elon Musk (b. 1971), entrepreneur and engineer, co-founder of PayPal and founder of SpaceX and Tesla. At the time of the work he stood as a contemporary figure of computing and artificial-intelligence ambition, later co-founding OpenAI and Neuralink.
Portrayed in dyforme (2016) as a large-scale photomosaic of 4,800 pictorial elements, dismantled piece by piece by a machine over the course of the exhibition.
