Ray Kurzweil (b. 1948), American inventor and futurist, a pioneer of optical character recognition, text-to-speech synthesis and electronic music instruments. He is among the best-known theorists of artificial intelligence and of the “technological singularity.”
Portrayed in dyforme (2016) as a large-scale photomosaic of 4,800 pictorial elements, dismantled piece by piece by a machine over the course of the exhibition.
