Adele Goldberg (b. 1945), American computer scientist. At Xerox PARC she co-developed Smalltalk-80 and helped pioneer object-oriented programming and the graphical user interface, ideas that shaped the personal computers that followed.
Portrayed in dyforme (2016) as a large-scale photomosaic of 4,800 pictorial elements, dismantled piece by piece by a machine over the course of the exhibition.
